LISTEN TO THE PLUGGED IN SHOW, EPISODE 200
Look out, Bart Simpson.
OK, so Plugged In hasn’t quite matched The Simpsons’ 34-year, 750-episode run just yet. Still, in the realm of podcasting, 200 episodes is nothing to sneeze at.
We began our little Plugged In Show in late 2019, just before COVID-19 shut everything down and forced everyone to stay home. And yet, by God’s grace, we never missed a week. And while those first episodes were tough to produce (and maybe tough to listen to!), they all helped in turning us into the wacky, winsome and weird talking machine we are now.
It’s only fitting that for this episode, we turn our attention away from the screen and toward the robust world of podcasts. Why are they popular? What are some of our faves? And most importantly, how do they uniquely impact us? We unpack all that and more.
And then—because it seemed such a shame to let our worst podcast mistakes and most awkward podcast moments go to waste—we wanted to give you a sampling of Plugged In outtakes. I’ve not heard the segment yet, but I’m sure I’m not on it. As I never make mistakes. Ever.
But you know what? It’s never a mistake to connect with us here. Tell us about your favorite podcasts! You can do so on Facebook and Instagram. You can send us an email at [email protected]. Or You can even leave us a voice message by going to our homepage at thepluggedinshow.com.
And you can watch and listen to our very own Plugged In Show Aftercast Friday—yep, that’s tomorrow—on Instagram at 4 p.m. Mountain Time. We’ll be talking about the podcast, the culture’s most anticipated movies, answering your questions and blathering on about whatever else we want to talk about. Join us, won’t you?

-I believe podcasts can be very effective tools for spiritual growth if they are approached the right way.
