The Plugged In Show, Episode 188: A Conversation with Jim Caviezel and Jordan Harmon. Plus, ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’

LISTEN TO THE PLUGGED IN SHOW, EPISODE 188

In Philippians 4:8, the Apostle Paul tells us to concentrate on whatever is just, pure, lovely and commendable. At Plugged In, we encourage you to do the same when it comes to entertainment.

But the world can be unjust, impure and ugly. And sometimes, as Christians, we must face those things, too.

The movie Sound of Freedom tackles one of the most horrific facets of our fallen world: that of child sex trafficking. Starring Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ) and produced by Angel Studios, Sound of Freedom is based on the real story of Tim Ballard, a special agent for the Department of Homeland Security who risks his life to save trafficked children well outside his typical jurisdiction.

Our own Adam Holz had a chance to talk with Caviezel and Angel Studios’ co-owner Jordan Harmon about this difficult, important movie—and about the tragic issue it deals with.

Then we turn our attention to what will undoubtedly be the biggest film this weekend: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Emily Tsiao just reviewed the very first Indiana Jones flick (Raiders of the Lost Ark). And I just reviewed the most recent one. Together, with Adam, we unpack the cinematic legacy of fiction’s most famous (and least accurate) archaeologist.

And then, of course, we want to hear from you. Do you dig (pardon the pun) Indiana Jones? Have you seen Dial of Destiny? What did you think about our interview with Jim Caviezel and Jordan Harmon? Let us know on Facebook, Instagram, email ([email protected]) or via voicemail (which you can access on The Plugged In Show homepage). And, of course, join us every Monday afternoon (3 p.m. Mountain Time) on Insta for our Plugged In Show Aftercast.
