LISTEN TO THE PLUGGED IN SHOW, EPISODE 120

Do you really count profanities for a living? Why do we have so many content sections? What does “Other Negative Content” mean, anyway?

Those are just a few of the many, many questions we sometimes field at Plugged In about our strange, strange jobs. We’ve spent a few recent podcasts answering some of those questions, tackling our content sections bit-by-bit. And today, we close out those chats with a rundown of three of them: Crude or Profane Language, Drug and Alcohol Content and our most curious content section of all, Other Neg.

We’ll talk about why language—and the way we use it—is important, not just to our readers, but to God, too. We’ll chat about how movies deal with intoxicating substances in both positive and negative ways. We’ll unspool the catch-all that is our Other Negative Content section, that can deal with everything from potty humor to worldview issues.

And then, our host Adam Holz sits down with Jonathan McKee and talks about how moms and dads can better relate to their children in an age where screens are vying for more and more attention.

So listen in. We promise you won’t curse the time you spend with us. As always, chime in with your own thoughts on Facebook, Instagram or via email ([email protected]). And here’s a rundown of everything we talked about during the show.
