Plugged In Pick, Music: “I See You” by Chris Tomlin and Brandon Lake

Image capture of the lyric video with the title of this song: I See You.

We could all use a little encouragement these days. From hurricanes to droughts, from Afghanistan to viruses, the world has given us plenty to be on edge about—and that’s to say nothing about the stress, frustration and grief we may be dealing with in our own personal universes.

That makes “I See You” a good reminder where our hope should truly lie. Chris Tomlin and Brandon Lake’s powerful worship song tells us that God is with us through everything that happens to us, and it encourages us to look for Him in the midst of every bit of adversity we might face. “Child, I am with you,” God tells us in the song. “Beloved one, I am with you.”

We know this already, of course. But what a gift it is to hear it again.
