We at Plugged In often mull over the effects that some new media release might have on our families. And all too often we’ll have to, out of necessity, land on the many negatives we see creeping up on us. You know, the language in films is trending raunchier or the games bloodier or the Internet social sites more invasive.
But today, hey, I’m thinking positive. I’m thinking new possibilities and hard-learned abilities. Why? ‘Cause, in this world full of problematic entertainment and nasty messages and agenda-pushing media, we can still find small things of wonder like this:
Now I’ve always thought that somebody quickly solving a Rubik’s cube was impressive enough. But to do three at the same time … while juggling them … and having casual conversations with passersby as you go??! Now that’s just flat out cool. This particular agent of awesomeness is reportedly a Sanford University student named Ravi Fernando. And he does indeed have some quick-handed, juggling skills.
Of course, we have YouTube to thank for the smile-worthy vid. Thanks guys. And thanks to Ravi for a couple brief and refreshing reminders: Bits of inspiration can pop up from the least expected places, and, well, it seems that nothing is impossible.
Hmm, maybe we ought to send this kid to Washington D.C. There’s a Rubik’s cube there called the national budget that no one seems able to juggle. I’d love to see that on YouTube.
