In 2008, Adam Richman found fame exploring the country’s various food cultures and eating challenges in Man v. Food.
Now, there’s a new Adam on the scene—a professional competitive eater from the United Kingdom with a beard that just might be as big as his meal. His name is Adam Moran, and his YouTube channel is BeardMeatsFood.
Though Moran once worked as a stockbroker, he now travels around both his country and beyond, looking to conquer the biggest food challenges he can find. At that, he’s beaten hundreds of them; he’s failed some, too.
And no matter how many pounds the plate in front of him weighs, he’ll give it his all and make a couple friends of the nearby patrons, too.
Moran is very friendly with the wait staff and customers, often striking up conversations with them. When fans meet him, he takes a moment to stop eating in order to speak with them, even though the vast majority of Moran’s food challenges have him on a strict time limit.
Additionally, it should be noted that Moran keeps to a very strict food and exercise routine to ensure that he takes care of his body. He’s uploaded a few videos explaining how he carefully watches his calories and exercises five times a day in order to stay healthy, since he knows that the massive food challenges could severely harm his health.
Though we can talk about Moran’s beneficial dieting and exercise habits, the channel is ultimately about eating a massive amount of food, which many will see as wasteful or gluttonous.
Additionally, viewers should note that there is some language throughout each video, including a few s-words and censored f-words. A couple restaurants have some content that may be inappropriate for viewers (including some titles that wink at profanity) or a visit to Las Vegas’ Heart Attack Grill, a restaurant where its waitresses dress in nurses’ outfits and spank those who don’t finish their food.
BeardMeatsFood’s Adam Moran is very engaging and friendly with his viewers and fans, which may explain why he’s gained quite the following on YouTube, garnering nearly three million subscribers as of posting. Despite this, some swearing and a couple other bits of content may cause parents to keep their children from the channel.
