Where’s the fire? In Chicago, it seems. But the flames outside Firehouse 51 are nothing compared to the heat generated inside.
Meet Kip the wallaby, Lulu the panda, Bailey the elephant, Franny the cheetah and Tilly the bilingual baby tortoise. Five diaper-wearing, baby animal friends who have a love for each other and a passion for learning.
Word Party is an animated preschool show on Netflix from the Jim Henson Company, and it focuses on education. Each episode is roughly 15 minutes in length and encourages the audience, the “big kids,” to “teach” the characters.
And there’s plenty to learn for little viewers. Emotional awareness, kindness, imaginative thinking and problem-solving are all part of each episode.
And as kids dance and sing along to original songs with the characters, they’re also expanding their vocabulary both in English and in Mandarin.
