Pro-Social Content

A man in love discovers manners and sacrifices bachelor pleasures for his girl (“I Like It, I Love It”). McGraw takes pride in his homespun values (“That’s Just Me”). When tempted to be jealous, he trusts his attractive partner to resist the flirtatious advances of others (“She Never Lets It Go to Her Heart”). “The Great Divide” is a hopeful reminder that it takes two to restore a marriage (“They could still get back all the love they lost, but only if they both will reach across”), but . . .

Objectionable Content

. . . it rings hollow when McGraw himself abandons a relationship on “When She Wakes Up (And Finds Me Gone).”

Summary Advisory

Overall, this disc applauds sound marriages, a solid work ethic, respect for parents, open communication and not-so-common courtesy. Concerns are minor. A bold, fun-loving follow-up to Not a Moment Too Soon.
