For teens not even old enough to drive, these four brothers spend considerable time plumbing the depths of emotion. Still, their songs about loving devotion (“Love,” “I’ll Be There for You,” “Say’n I Love U”) and the hurt associated with ending a relationship (“Miss You Like Crazy,” “Until You Loved Me,” “Misery,” “Raining in My Mind”) are handled responsibly. The singer wishes to heal an ailing romance on “If Life Is So Short” and “Girl of My Dreams.” Featherweight, but positive.
Minor. A desire to be “Wild at Heart” states, “There’s nothing I wouldn’t do/So don’t tell me ’bout any rules”). Several cuts exploring pain fail to offer hope. One, an untitled bonus track, wallows in self-pity.
A breezy cross between Hanson and ‘NSync, this Canadian band is made up of Moffatt brothers Scott (15), Bob, Clint and Dave (14-year-old triplets). For the most part, Chapter 1 is harmless fun. Perhaps its few unfortunate wrinkles will be ironed out by the time the boys release Chapter 2.
