She shares lots of affirmation, be it for a love (“Ryde or Die,” “I, Love,” “I Got U”) or an old friend who believed in her when no one else did (“Hold You Down”). The singer reminisces about the early days of a sweet romance and marvels that her man is “Still Around” (“Never apart, you are my heart/Makes me smile we’re still in love … Boy you never let me down through it all”).
“Get Right” features a sexual proposition and a hefty bar tab, while the remix finds guest rapper Fabulous ogling women in thongs. The suggestive “Cherry Pie” is further marred by mild profanities and a strategically interrupted f-word. A woman sporting a short skirt and “golden brown thighs” throws caution to the wind for a night of passion (“Whatever You Wanna Do”). Similarly, fantasies run wild on “Step Into My World.” Love for a man crosses the line into codependency and obsession (“Ryde or Die”). J.Lo wears little or nothing in slinky liner photos.
Some sweet sentiment aside, families will take issue with the erotic teasing, aggressive come-ons and soft-porn CD pix—all consistent with previous efforts.
