Objectionable Content

Obscene, hateful ranting dominates. Rage explodes on “I Stab People” (“I stab four or five people every day . . . I stab old ladies, kids . . . I order food just to stab the guy when he gets there”). The duo raps about killing teachers (“Bring It On” and the vilely explicit “Assassins”), slitting the throat of a lover (“Another Love Song”) and dismembering 80 people to create a zombie (“Mad Professor”). Add threats of decapitation, axe murder and plucking out a victim’s eyes. Frequent use of the f-word merely hints at the depraved language used here. “B–ches” employs crass anatomical slang to describe lewd acts and homicidal urges. Other tracks glamorize drugs and alcohol, and make shocking references to anal sex and bestiality.

Summary Advisory

Ten years ago, Joe Bruce and Joey Ultser, two white rappers from Detroit, met at a professional wrestling match. A tough break for the rest of us. They proceeded to form a musical alliance that has evolved into Insane Clown Posse, one of the sickest acts on record. Jeckel Brothers is full of sordid, often gruesome fascinations. Perversion. Brutality. It’s a vivid secular demonstration of Matthew 12:34-36–all the warning young Christians should need to steer clear of this snuff disc.
