Objectionable Content

Riddled with profanity, this disc obsesses over drug use, employing street slang for marijuana (chronic, Maui owie, indo, Afrigani, baca lua lua, spliff, hemp, weed, blunt, bud, joint, etc.). “Boom Biddy Bye Bye” features racial violence (“As I pull the trigger on my nine/Say goodnight n-r!”). The artist also claims to be “a natural born cop killer” on “Stoned Raiders.” Other cuts demean women as sex objects to be abused, with explicit language adding insult to injury (“Illusions,” “No Rest for the Wicked,” “Boom Biddy Bye Bye”).

Summary Advisory

This band is the first to be named official spokesmen for the National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws. III (Temples of Boom) reflects that zeal, along with a general maliciousness toward others. A nasty effort from beginning to end.
