Bouncy melodies and socially conscious ballads applaud timeless, unconditional romantic love (“Say You’ll Be Mine,” “Whatever It Takes,” “Our Love” and “Oh How the Years Go By”). “Helping Hand” encourages brotherly kindness and a servant’s heart. Hope for future generations and a celebration of life are the focus of “Children of the World.” The environmentally sensitive “Big Yellow Taxi” says to enjoy life’s gifts before they’re gone.
“Say You’ll Be Mine” longs breathlessly for a physical relationship (“Every time I close my eyes I dream about hugging you, holding you, kissing you boy”). “Lucky One” also seems preoccupied with intimacy.
As mainstream pop albums go, a pretty wholesome pick. But Grant fans expecting a return to Christ-centered content will be disappointed in House‘s foundation.
