Tunes glorify alcohol (“Blind Leading the Blind”), marijuana (“Geto Boys and Girls”) and crack cocaine (“First Light of the Day”). The f-word gets frequent play, and women are called “hos,” “tramps” and “sluts.” “Point of No Return” makes vicious threats against Bob Dole and the late J. Edgar Hoover, while “Open Minded” promotes cop-killing. Suicide gets an approving nod on “I Just Wanna Die.” Other cuts urge listeners to live for the moment, recommending brutal violence as a solution to life’s problems.

Summary Advisory

While they wouldn’t want their own kids listening to their tapes, the Geto Boys are happy to sell them to ours. Willie D told USA Today, “I’d love to stick the tape in and say, ‘Listen to what Daddy did.’ But then Hugh Hefner can’t show off his magazines to kids either. . . . For me, it’s a business. I say it to get paid.” Don’t contribute to his delinquency; avoid buying this trash. [SEE ALSO: Willie D]
