With an entrepreneurial spirit, “B.O.B.” advocates setting goals. The cautionary “Toilet Tisha” mourns a pregnant 14-year-old’s decision to commit suicide. On “Humble Mumble,” guest vocalist Erykah Badu celebrates life.
“Snappin’ & Trappin’” and “We Luv Deez Hoez” use explicit terms to describe forced oral sex. During a spoken interlude, a woman brags of fleecing a man of his money in exchange for sexual favors (“Kim & Cookie”). The guys use drugs while cruising strip bars on “I’ll Call Before I Come.” No fewer than eight tracks glorify drugs or alcohol in the form of crack, blunts, grass, purple haze, Cuervo or Kahlua. Obscenities, the n-word and vile anatomical slang appear throughout. Other cuts make a hobby out of homicide. The rappers boast, “I’m murder city’s Sergeant Slaughter” (“Snappin’ & Trappin’”) and “We’re not scared to blast and dip off fast” (“Gangsta S—“). “Xplosion” talks of hiring musical peer Eminem for a veritable gang war. References to God and Isaiah 54:17 misrepresent both. A pornographic silhouette is emblazoned on the disc itself while liner photos treat women as fashion accessories.
The vast majority of this album’s 73 minutes is nothing more than standard gangsta posturing. Getting high. Misogynistic sex. Gunplay. Make these two randy rappers outcasts in your home.
