Pro-Social Content

The word “love” fails to capture the singer’s depth of affection on “This Can’t Be Love.” Forgotten and abandoned children yearn for caring adults on the compassionate “Still Waiting.” Money doesn’t matter to a “Rich Man” blessed with a loving family. “In My Arms” gazes through a new dad’s teary eyes at his precious baby girl (“It scares me to death to know you’re counting on me . . . Wounded knees, broken hearts, learning how to drive a car”). Wills wishes he had a “Time Machine” so he could mend a romance and prevent the deaths of Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Martin Luther King and J.F.K. “Because I Love You,” “Permanently,” “Right Here” and “Back at One” celebrate loving commitment through the years.

Summary Advisory

Thirteen tracks without a single vice. No drinking. No carousing. No pining for another man’s wife. Just uplifting, idealistic songs about life boosted by sincere vocals in the same league as Steve Wariner and Collin Raye. Teens can add this disc to their music libraries—permanently.
