Pro-Social Content

“Love U 4 Life” desires a marriage that lasts “for eternity.”

Objectionable Content

The rest of this project focuses more on lust than on commitment. Sexually suggestive slang (such as “pumping,” “getting freaky” and “feeling so horny”) is the rule, not the exception. These obscenity-strewn lyrics give an approving nod to pornography (“Room 577”), multiple sex partners (“Fun 2 Nite”) and other lascivious activity. Hormones rage on the half million-selling radio single, “Freek’n You” (“I don’t give a d- about nothing else/Freak’n you is all I need/Tonight I need your body”).

Summary Advisory

This follow-up to Jodeci’s appropriately titled Diary of a Mad Band will send young fans hazardous messages about sex. One member of the group, K-Ci, told the media, “My parents still don’t listen to our albums.” Smart folks. Avoid The Show.
