Kamp Koral is the best camp in the underwater world. Filled with fields of jellyfish, scientifically defying campfires and Lake Yuckymuck. Who wouldn’t want to spend their summers at this underwater paradise?
This is what 10-year-old SpongeBob SquarePants thinks. Here, little SpongeBob gets to be his quirky, crazy self all while playing with his pals, Sandy the Squirrel and Patrick the Jellyfish–not to mention Kamp Director, Mr. Krabs, lunch man Plankton and the best counselor in all the seas, Mr. Squidward Tentacles.
Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years is a spinoff of the original SpongeBob SquarePants, a series that’s been a Nickelodeon staple for over 20 years. This newest installment has floated over to Paramount+ and features the well-known SpongeBob as a young, porous sponge on the lookout for friends and fun.
Here, SpongeBob is an elementary aged sea creature attending summer camp. And even though he’s not working at the Krusty Krab, he still interacts with Mr. Krabs quite often, and he is still obsessed with Squidward, or Mr. Tentacles, as he’s known these days. Each episode clocks in at a little over twenty minutes and is just as nonsensical and chaotic as ever. And although you may get a small laugh or two out of this series, it’s far more disjointed than its predecessor, filled with toilet humor and jokes that are too mature for an elementary aged audience.

SpongeBob walks around in his underwear. SpongeBob asks Mr. Tentacles if he’s ever seen a fish “au natural?” Patrick makes a few jokes and comments about using the bathroom.
Sandy still likes to karate chop her friends and foes. A few sea creatures get tossed around. Patrick wonders if a jellyfish is dead. Patrick talks about chopping a jellyfish into a million pieces and eating it.
Viewers hear that jellyfish eat and poop out of their mouths. A sea creature showers but weirdly wonders if the water is blood (in a very random, non-sensual scene). SpongeBob gets stung by a jellyfish hive, as do others.
