TV Series Review

Disney sure does love its most famous mouse. Which is why Disney+ just released its latest iteration of the beloved, animated rodent: The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse.

Coinciding with Mickey’s 92nd birthday, this Disney animated original series picks up where the 2013 series, Mickey Mouse, left off. And it has the same slapstick feel of all the past shorts.

This time, Mickey, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Minnie and Goofy travel all over the world and take on whatever fantastical adventures may come their way in each eight-minute episode. And they do so with some fun, original tunes as they learn valuable lessons of justice, honor, friendship and respect.

A few scenes might be mildly creepy for tiny viewers, some characters lose their tempers, animated explosions are common, and Pete, Mickey’s classic villain, seems to show up everywhere he and his friends go.  But if you know anything about Mickey, you know that this lovable mouse and his trusty gang are always ready to put the bad guy in his place and put on a special show.
