Januarys are busier than most months for me. On top of editing and publishing, I’m also doing a whole lot of calculating and tabulating. Now, there’s nothing inherently special about turning the calendar over from one year to the next, nothing that really makes the needto know what’s what any more vivid than it is in, say, April. But we humans tend to grow reflective when the new year dawns. We feel the need to mark lines in the sand behind us as we walk.
Thus, I tabulate scads of year-end lists and charts and studies.
This year I decided that if I was going to go to this much effort, I should at least share some of the good stuff that comes from it. My bosses shouldn’t be the only ones to benefit! So what follows are a few lists documenting what you and a few hundred thousand of your best friends found and read on the Plugged In website in 2012. You might think of it as a list of favorites. Not necessarily your favorite entertainment, of course, but certainly the things you needed/wanted to know something more about. And who knows, maybe some of you will want to click a few of these links to see what all the fuss was about … especially when it comes to that Honey Boo Boo show on TV and a guy who calls himself Skrillex.
Starting Jan. 1 and ending Dec. 31, 2012, Plugged In published to the Internet …
