Plugged In Picks, Music: ‘Heaven Up Above’

We do a lot of writing here at Plugged In. And if you’ve perused our website, I’m sure you’ve seen the mountains of content available. But for all the content, the goal isn’t that “We tell you  whether you and/or your family should watch (or listen or read),” but to give you as much information as we can so you can make the decision yourself. Each family is different, and we want you to have the power of choice.

But while we’re all about empowering families through choice, we still like to give recommendations, especially when asked. And it just so happens that we’ve read your comments on the blog and have seen your DM’s on Instagram and Facebook, and as you’ve seen for the past few weeks, we’re ready to give you a weekly pick on one of our “beats,” like music, movies, TV, YouTube and books. (And remember, before you do anything, please read our review first.)

Okay. Enough explanation. Drum roll please.

The Plugged In Pick for music for April is: Hulvey’s “Heaven Up Above.”

If you’re a rap fan looking for Christian alternatives that can compete with mainstream sounds, this song is worth checking out. It draws upon Hulvey’s personal struggles as well as his spiritual journey with God.
