Objectionable Content

Like many of the band's patently evil tunes, "Snakes of Christ" blasphemes Jesus and promotes demonology. On "Mother," Glenn Danzig jeers at caring parents, issuing them a sinister warning to guard their children from his influence. He admits the source of his inspiration ("Faces of a million hells rage inside these veins," "My middle name is misery, said I'm evil child and don't you mess around with me," "If you're looking for trouble, just stare in this face"). Dark and satanic.

Summary Advisory

Even MTV refused to air Danzig's video featuring hardcore sadomasochism and two leashed amputees in leather. Deuteronomy 18:10 says, "Let no one be found among you who . . . practices sorcery . . . engages in witchcraft or casts spells" (NIV). Such individuals also have no place in teens' music libraries.
