Conclusion

Pro-social Content

Love is the remedy for cultural ills (drug abuse, greed, violence) according to the Top-10 single "I Believe." One line from that hit, "All we do is eliminate our future with the things we do today," points out that actions have consequences. A man shows an apprehensive love interest patience and understanding ("Let Me Be the One"). "End of the World" reminds us that life goes on after a romance goes sour. "Home" points to heaven as a refuge of peace and togetherness. The artist pays tribute to-and prays for-his grandmother ("Nora"), and looks forward to seeing her "on the other side." "Heaven" boldly addresses God's existence, man's eternal nature and the need to pray for one's enemies.

Objectionable Content

An isolated line mentions fathering two children out of wedlock.

Summary Advisory

Overall, an excellent release, both musically and lyrically. A solid, stylish alternative to bands like Counting Crows.
