The Plugged In Show, Episode 166: Plugged In Movie Award Nominations & ‘Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist’

LISTEN TO THE PLUGGED IN SHOW, EPISODE 166

Oscars, meh.

Sure, Oscar nominees were rolled out earlier this week. And that might be a big deal for some. But for us, it’s a mere preamble to our own awards extravaganza—the Plugged In Movie Awards.

That’s right: Plugged In reviewers have gathered what we think are the “best” movies (in terms of quality and content) to land in 2022. As is our way, we’ve winnowed our choices down to five in each of four categories (Best Movies for Kids, Teens, Adults and Best Christian Movie). Now we want to tell you what they are on, of course, this very episode of The Plugged In Show.

And this marks just the beginning of the process. Next week, we’ll be rolling out a series of blogs that serve as ballots, too. There, we’ll tell you a bit more about the movies we selected as our nominees. But even more importantly, we want you to vote on them.

We’ll tell you more about that procedure next week. But for now, we simply invite you to join us. Take stock of all our nominations and listen to our conversation about why we chose what we did.

And then, we’ll talk about a movie that just might be part of our conversation next year. Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist is in theaters now for a very limited run. Adam and I will tell you all about this latest chapter in the Left Behind cinematic canon. After all, we don’t want you to be left in the dark.

So pull up a chair and sit for a spell. And once you’re done listening, click on the links below to read more about what we’ve discussed. (We’ll be adding links to our Plugged In Movie Awards blogs next week, so be sure to check back. You don’t want us to tell you what the movies are before you’ve even had a chance to listen, do you?) And feel free to offer your own thoughts about our conversation on Facebook, Instagram or via email ([email protected]).
