The U.K. dance trio Dirty Vegas came together in 2001 with an ambition to redefine Europes ever-changing dance scene. DJ/producer Paul Harris was a prominent face among Londons Milk Bar circuit in the late 90s. Musician/DJ Ben Harris owned a record store and singer Steve Smith flirted with various indie rock bands. First single Days Go By was a Top 20 hit in England in late 2001. It gained momentum in the U.S. several months later with a spot in car commercial for the Mitsubishi Eclipse. Dirty Vegas full-length studio effort appeared on Capitol in June 2002. A pair of mix albums, A Night at the Tables and The Trip, baited fans until Dirty Vegas returned with their second studio album, One.
